Bunny Garland

bunny garland

I admit it, I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE garlands. About 5 years ago I started to make my own garlands for each holiday and birthdays. I am kind of addicted to them.

What about you? Do you make your own or do you buy them or you may have never thought much about them.

This bunny garland is so darn cute, if I do say so. I did make it for Easter but after hanging it up I think this could be used for all of the Spring season, a baby shower decoration or even to hang in a baby’s room.

My garlands always hang on my fireplace but right now we are renovating and I have no fireplace, BOO HOO.  So, I had to find a different place to hang it and I chose a doorway that is off our eating area. I am sad I can’t hang it on the fireplace but my husband is sure glad its not there! LOL.

There are two sizes of bunnies, one large and one small. I used both.

Materials needed:

paper (card stock would be best, more heavy duty and edges won’t curl)

Bunny Template

twine or ribbon

cotton balls

white glue

hole puncher

any embellishments you many want to add ( ribbon for bows, eyes, etc…) Be creative!

Directions

Step 1: Choose the paper you want and trace some bunnies. The amount you trace depends on how long you want it to be.

Step 2: Punch one hole in each ear and put twine or ribbon through holes.

Step 3: Glue cotton balls on for the tail. For the large bunny use a whole cotton ball and for the small bunny cut the cotton ball into 4th’s.

Step 4: Add any embellishments you want. I only added bakers twine around the ear of each small bunny.
