I have substitution lists in my kitchen, yet it seems like I can never find one when I need it. But I put it in a spot I would remember, didn’t I? Does this sound like you also? I hope I’m not the only one that losses things in “good” spots. Since I could never find my list I decided to tape it to the inside of my pantry cabinet, this was a good move. Yep, it sure was!
An ingredient substitution list is one thing every kitchen needs to have. I substitute for buttermilk the most. I do this because it is a great way to save money and reduce waste. When I need buttermilk it is only a little bit and the rest sits in my fridge and eventually I have to throw it out. I always have milk on hand and vinegar so this is perfect for me.

Here is the Ingredient Substitution List pdf version if you would like to print it out and put it in a place you won’t forget, (wink wink).
