homemade cranberry sauce has the right combination of sweetness and tartness

Perfectly Sweet and Tart Cranberry Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1 12oz pkg fresh cranberries
  • 1/2 apple, cubed
  • 1/2 cup apple cider
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp cloves

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan combine all ingredients and stir to combine. Once it starts to boil lower heat to medium.

  2. Cook for 10 minutes. Turn off heat and smash cranberries with back of a spoon to desired chunkiness.

  3. Cranberry sauce will thicken as it cools. Store in the refrigerator.
