Shirley Temple Ice Cream

Ingredients

  • 1 cup whole or 2% milk
  • 1 1/4 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup ginger ale
  • 3 Tbsp grenadine
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2.5 oz maraschino cherries, coarsely chopped

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl combine milk and sugar, stir until sugar is dissolved, about 2 minutes. Stir in whipping cream.

  2. Add in ginger ale, grenadine, and vanilla extract. Stir until combined.

  3. Pour mixture into ice cream freezer and freeze according to manufacturers instructions. The last 5 minutes add in cherries. Enjoy!
