Shopping for organic and all natural products can be hard on the wallet.

There are hardly ever any coupons and the items cost 2, 3, 4x more than conventional products. How is this fair!? I have learned that the government doesn’t support the organic community the way they do the conventional community. Without all the subsides the organic/natural products cost more.
On my journey of becoming toxic free, I decided to join Thrive Market. I looked at this website a couple of years ago and decided against it.
Why you ask? Because there is an annual fee and I don’t like having to pay any extra than I have to. In my mind I was thinking…we already pay extra for organic and natural and now I have to pay even more. That was closed minded of me. I did a lot of research and it turns out that you don’t pay extra when you shop at Thrive Market.
Also… your savings are guaranteed! If you don’t make back your membership fee in savings every year, they’ll pay the difference! You can’t lose if you sign up.
How is this possible?, you ask!
The products I looked into are anywhere from $1.50-$5.00 dollars cheaper. What!!!??? That’s right, they are actually cheaper.
I wrote down the products I use and then went on Thrive Market to find a natural, organic alternative. When I came across an item that seemed doable financially I looked on EWG (Environmental Working Group) for the rating. If I liked the rating I wrote it down. After getting a couple items in each of my categories it was time to price compare.
I looked at the stores I shop at… amazon, Target, & Sprouts. It was a surprise to see that Thrive Market is actually cheaper than amazon, I didn’t know this was quite possible! When Sprouts has a sale on their items then they were either the same price or slightly lower. However, I can’t always wait for a sale.
Doing this research took me hours but it was totally worth the time investment.
